COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course will review some of the new technologies, medications, and philosophies utilized in the treatment and management of glaucoma. Using case examples, attendees will be able to discuss issues related to determining when to treat, when to use medication versus surgery, and how to improve patient compliance.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
· Provide a greater understanding of the disease process and identification
· Discuss the traditional treatments of glaucoma
· Introduce a recently FDA-approved pharmaceutical treatment option
· Review the indications for glaucoma surgery, latest treatments, and which treatment options are best for different glaucoma case presentations
