COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will evaluate a specific life-threatening disease case seen in my office.  We will review the challenges faced and systemic clues seen or not seen.  We will walk through case management. We will learn ways of treating based on unique challenges.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  

  • Identify the challenges of the disease in this case.
  • Discuss areas of opportunity for treatment, both tried and true, and new
  • Review and discuss a specific case of vision loss and systemic clues, and the specific scenario that occurred in our practice
  • Educate attendees on diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. April Jasper

Dr. April Jasper graduated with highest honors from Nova Southeastern University’s College of Optometry. A native of West Palm Beach, Florida, she and her husband have raised two children and several dogs. Dr. Jasper is a professional speaker and author, and serves as Chief Optometric Editor of Optometric Management magazine. 

Her career highlights include serving as Benedict Professor of Practice Management at the University of Houston College of Optometry, President of the Florida Optometric Association, and creator of the lecture series and book Creating Your Practice of Distinction. Dr. Jasper’s passion is bringing value to her family, patients, and colleagues in West Palm Beach and beyond.
