We are often too focused on the complicated glaucoma cases, management and new innovations about glaucoma that this course is intended to bring us back to the basics of glaucoma and highlight the “two” different types of glaucoma. Is its high pressure related or is not related to eye pressure at all?


LEARNING OBJECTIVES:


     Defining the main difference between Primary Open Angle Glaucoma (POAG) and Low-Tension Glaucoma (LTG).

     Discover how to properly use tools to help you differentiate between the two types of glaucoma including OCT and Humphrey’s Visual Field.

     Understand what questions you should be asking your patient in order to best help them manage their glaucoma.

Dr. Sergio Cruz

Sergio Cruz a Pacific University Graduate, class of 2020. Was born and raised in Northern Nevada and is currently practicing at a referral based OD/MD clinic near his home town where he primarily works with surgical consultations, glaucoma, macular degeneration, emergency care and dry eyes. Sergio is heavily involved in education, he currently holds the Education Chair for the Nevada Optometric Association, and is an active live instructor for KMK Educational Services & the KMK Coaching Teams.
