COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course will review various cases of ocular surface disease and deepen the understanding of disease management with topical medications, as well as specialty contact lenses while considering the corneal health and visual implications. Case histories will discuss the diagnosis and management of inflammatory and dry eye conditions and will demonstrate creative problem solving.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

• To review the diagnosis and management of various ocular surface conditions with both pharmacologic and contact lens intervention.
• To inform the primary care clinician on specialty lens fitting considerations and troubleshooting with ocular surface disease.
• To enhance the understanding of appropriate interdisciplinary referrals and co-management for ocular surface disease conditions.

Dr. Mari Fujimoto


Dr. Fujimoto received both her Doctorate of Optometry and completed her residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at Pacific University College of Optometry. She is an Assistant Professor of Optometry at the College of Optometry and is involved in clinical and didactic contact lens education and research.
