Upon completion, she entered academia and was assistant professor of optometry and a clinic director for Pacific University for five years and concurrently earned her fellow within the American Academy of Optometry. Currently, Ami works for Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute or PCLI—a co-management surgical center. In addition to her clinical role, she also serves as editor of OD News, a quarterly newsletter that is sent to PCLI’s referral network. She has lectured many hours on various topics throughout the Pacific NW. Additionally, she serves on the Oregon Board of Optometry and is an active member of Oregon Optometric Physician’s association. In her spare time, you can find Ami climbing mountains of the PNW.
